my netbook reflection 2013

Using my netbook is cool because you can search things and you can go on other web sites like math whizz, this thing could Xtra math. I like having a blog and having other things but the most thing that I like doing on my netbook is having free time in our classroom if we get it. On our netbooks we could share our learning share our work and write paragraphs about narratives or what you do in the holidays.

I have learn’t that using netbooks for learning is the best thing because it helps you get your work done faster. On our math we have Xtra math and Math whizz.

I’ve helped other people by learning with them and solving so as working with them if they get stuck on their work. I have grown to be more smarter than I was before.

Highlight this term

This term I really liked going to Kelly Tarltons. Room 16 the class that i'm in went to there with another set of class like room 17, room 18, room 13, and room 14. First we had to go to the school hall to see if everyone was going to be there. We waited for a little while then went on the bus. I thought that the ride was going to be short but it wasn't, we finally got there building was small but when we got inside it was long and blue looking. We saw all type of stuff like Penguins, Seahorses, a lot of Fish,Seals and a Stingray.

Making my own Mini Golf

On Sunday in the morning at 8:30 I made up my own Mini golf in my backyard. It was going to be a long course but separated. I Had 6 Short, Normal and Long courses. One course you have two ways of getting to the hole,one way was going through the pipe for short cut or through the normal way. Another one you were not aloud to hit three obstacles or you go back and restart.

I used some of my old sticks and found some rocks as walls . When I set everything up I test everything out to see if it would be good and it turn out right. I then played with my brother we playing to see who could get the less hits in my Mini Golf. In the first round I was trying to go through the pipe but I kept hit it instead.

Finally It went in but I was going to lose anyway on the first round. Then the next level you need to Not hit the obstacles or you start again. I was quite good at it and I actually won it. The obtactals where rocks and stones. We went on and on but then it came to the last one, but this one was the largest course I made.

It had a lot of stones and a long trail then went every where but the hole was on a little hill. Me and my brother never got there until it was dark then my brother just got it in the moment we were about to go inside to watch a movie. We had a good game but If My back yard was bigger I would've made more courses and more longer. But I still liked the one that I did,when it was the first time doing it.

Kelly Tarlton Trip

On Monday the 1 of July Room 13,14,16,17 and 18 went to Kelly Tarlton's and it was fun. First we went to the hall and see if we all were their. Then when we were fine we went on the bus. There were four buses so some one class had to be on the same as the other. In the bus I was sick and my friend wasn't sick because he was silent and I almost spurred.

Finally we got to Kelly Tarlton's and it looked like a small place, but when it was big and kind of blue. But it was an adventure and there was a bridge and it made us dizzy but it was a small bridge so it was find. In the building we went around a big fish tank that was above us.

There were sharks and other fish that we have never seen. There also was a thing that move us around. It was a Walking Excavator Machine and we got to take a picture of fish it was cool and then the excavator machine stop and everybody was saying “WHAT HAPPENED”! Then our teacher Mr Somerville said “oh man someone broke the so we had to walk instead of ride.

The Dragon Machine 123

One night there was boy his name called George Washington. He looked out of the window and noticed dragons flying. The next day he was unnoticed, everyone thought that he wouldn't had existed. Then he went to the library and the dragons followed him. They broke the pots and then he said sorry. Then he went outside running the dragons also broke the telephone wire.

George had a dragon map and it showed a place where dragons leave. He made a Dragon Machine and try to make the dragons follow him. then he ended up in a imagination. Then when he got home he got a dog but George wasn't sure if it was a real dog.

Iceman and the strangers at antarctica

Today there was a celebration of a New years eve. Every New years eve this man  always sets sail from New York to Antarctica and the Antarctic with his boat. He was known as the Iceman. That was what everyone called him, because he would always be one of the brave people that would ride to Antarctica and the Antarctic.

He would always has backup food, cloths with him and his skills to survive just in case he gets himself into trouble.

The Iceman had to set up camp fast because there was going to be a snow storm coming his way. He didn't have the tools but  some  nails and his builders hammer. The rest of the tools were back at his boat and he wouldn't of had much time, so he had to use some of leftover tents that might of been there for decades. The tents was half broken but he managed to make an tent. It wasn't comfortable in the tent but he still slept.

Next day he went out to get his tools from his boat, while he was walking he saw some penguins he didn't know what they were called but he just kept walking. There was one penguin  following him and his friends were starting to follow as well. When he got to the boat the penguins started running into the boat, chucking his tools and tipping the boat over so they could try and break it. But then two killer Whales came up and crashed into the boat instead. STOP!!!! he cried, “The Iceman was crying .

This isn't good he said. “There was nothing he could do, So he went back to his tent but suddenly he heard a voice, It came from the other tents. He went to the tent and saw people sleeping.There were people here with him so he wasn't alone. He woke up the strangers that were in the tent and said CAN YOU HELP ME. in a big voice.

How did you get here in Antarctica, I never saw a boat or ship. As they were just waking up the Iceman was really worried and they were just so tired. One of the strangers were happy because help had came but Iceman was just one of the people that tested the temperature. They had food but it was animal food, and that was the only thing that they could eat. They didn't know that the Iceman had some food back at his tent.

So then he wanted them to help him and the strangers new this place quite good. They told the Ic that they needed there Pirate ship. The pirate ship was hiding in the mountains and there were mountain giants guarding ship. The strangers were pirates that were from old times and could still survive,but they needed it so they could get out of there. So  they formed a plan and tried to distract the giants so the other could get in and try to silent kill the others or charge in while the Iceman and the captain of there ship do the rest of work.

So here’s the plan said Iceman. there a 5 groups and you are in groups of 10s because there a 50 of you. so the first 10 will distract the mountain giants that are guarding the entrance and the and rest of you will charge in and try to hold off or the mountain giants you can hold off and when I say RETREAT you all come on the ship and I will have some spare weapons for you guys. Alright get into position but Wait for the signal said “Iceman to the captains troops. So what's the signal said “one of the troops. You will find out.

NOW said “Iceman. The first ten went out and tried to distract the mountain giants that were guarding the entrance, it wasn't doing anything that much but that kept trying. One of them even though its spare so the giants could run after them. when that was happen the others charged in and started a little war in the cave and there were a lot of giants in there then they would of expected. So the Iceman and the captain had to be fast and get the rest of there weapons on the ship and past it to the troops.

lucky the ship was already on water so they could set sail fast and get out of there. RETREAT RETREAT the Iceman Kept repeating. Some of them couldn't hear him so he got out his old megaphone and said  RETREAT RETREAT RETREAT. He kept on repeating but that wasn't working and they weren't listening. So he just went on with the captain and sailed away back to New York but then it got some of the troops attention and they started running to the ship and grabbing on to it but the giants didn't allow them to escape.

But some of the giants nearly got in but the captain got his sword and hold them off so Iceman had to go without them but he was going to be safe. He finally got out of the cave and he headed back to New York. It took a month to get back to New York and some people were talking about it. Then everyone stopped and listen to that noise it was a boat It came closer and they saw Iceman. They were happy and everyone had a celebration.

Will.I.am vist

Yesterday on Thursday after Morning tea we had to go to the hall because there was an important visitor that came to our school. But we had to wait for five minutes but some of us were trying to guess who it is but we didn,t know. THEN SUDDENLY we heard Mr burt say this famous man called Will.I.am.

Some of us were freaking out because Wii.I.am was here. Someone next to me named calvin my friend he was freaking out just to much because he was excited to see Will.I.am.He was the famous person from Black Eyed Peas.He told us about when he grew up to be a star.He even gave us a donation of a $  100 000 check. We were surprised to see that but we were thank for.

But before that we got to see the hip hop crew from our school to dance for Will.I.am and poanamo.

Core sample

This is me and my friend doing are cup cake sample. We were testing the diffident colours that would be in side the cupcake. Me and my partner the one that was on the right thought it was normal like it only had yellow or some thing like that. The other teams thought the same. When it was the end we got to eat some cupcakes that our cupcake sample teacher gave us cupcakes to eat.


It was nice and I really liked it.
