Fia Fia night 2014

                  FiaFia 2014

On FiaFia night my mum dropped me off to the front area of school. When I got out of the car she left me so I could go get changed into my other clothes that I had to bring for my FiaFia group. It made me feel a bit nervous cause of so much people. I walked into the school grounds outside the breeze and I could see a big crowd everywhere and kids from other schools. As I walked to my changing room I saw Bailee and he was dropped off. Me and Bailee saw Paris and he was just walking around looking around.

When all of us were together we started wandering around going to The ICT to see if our group was there, but they weren’t because it was to early. Instead we started going around looking at things talking to friends. It was a bit hard because it was too loud. I couldn’t really hear myself speak properly so I had to scream or talk closer to some people. Paris told me and Bailee to come so we could see if our tutor teachers and group are there so we could get change because It was getting dark.

We saw them at last and we had to quickly get changed before we go. Inside my plastic bag were my White Top and Very Dark Blue Jeans. Instead of taking off the clothes that I had on I just stuck the jeans on and my White T-shirt as well. We did a quick run though for our group the Asian group and then we went out onto the field to get ready for the FiaFia. We then had to wait for the other groups but it didn't take that long and then it started. It was the Senior Kapa Haka group and they would of had to do heaps of practise because it was long.

After them were the Junior Kapa Haka that were year 1 and year 2. They looked quite good but in the end they were amazing, doing the Haka with mana. When they were done thats when FiaFia was really going to happing. Third after Junior Kapa Haka were the Bollywood/salsa Which is an Indian dance that the Indians do. Fourth was Hip Hop senior which had the intermidate year 7s and year 8s.

They did two songs but remixed together so it was Happy by Pharell Williams and another song that I don’t know. When it was our groups turn we started off in the Dragon went in a U in the middle of the crowd then went on stage, went around then came back off. After that the Ribbon Girls came on and they did some mexican waves and other stuff but when it was the boys turn to come on we had sticks and swords. It was short though and our last thing we had to do was our Kung Fu Fighting dance. On our ending we were supposed to kick off the stage but instead we just jumped and kick.

Samoan were the next group and there one was longer then the Asian group. Then went the Tongan girls next Band Music, after were the Fijian, when they were done it was the Tongan boys and they had a cool one. It was amazing when the groups performed it was much better then our rehearsal because the dances were kind of messed up. It was cool being at the FiaFia  But I wonder what group I should be in next year if we have it.

Doing PE at Tamaki College

On Fridays the seniors class 2,5 and 4 go to PE at Tamaki College after morning tea time. All of us have to quickly get back to class and put our PE t- shirt on as well. So then we walked down and it felt like we were going to walk to Tamaki for tech. When we got their we sat down at the field and the Tamaki people put us into teams, and I was in the same team as my friends. The first thing we did was play chain tag and you needed to have two people connected to each other and try to tag other people.

Then the next game we played was the Trust walk blindfold. For this we had to go in pairs and the person I went with were quite good and so as I. My partner named Lee didn't want to go first so I did but I wanted to go first any way. Before I went I looked at the path and it went zig zag so I had to trust Lee to make me go Zig zag. It wasn't scary at all but it did feel quite long, when it was Lee turn and he was quite fast because he knew the path.

Lee and I did it two times because we were fast but we had to be quick cause our team had to move on to our final activity. The final activity was a game where you can’t move but you are holding a ball and have to touch the person without moving. It was quite hot but we finished and we got ready to go back to Pt England.

Science with Mr Barks

At Pt England school the intermediate year 7s and year 8s do a rotation. Classes 5,4,3,2 and 1 are all switched to others. My class was in Science with Mr Barks and we practise putting two or three different masses of chemical liquid like Corn syrup,water,Veg oil and dish soap. The first thing that happened was that Mr Barks put a little bit of veg oil and dish soap in a separate cup. Mr Barks then told us about the different masses about these liquids and Dish soap had a higher mass.

So if we put the cup that has the Veg oil in it on the Dish soap the veg oil will stay on top because its lower mass. But if you switch it around the dish soap will stay below the oil cause of the mass. After that our teacher put in a little ice cube then we had to observe it, When that did happen the ice was taking a long time to melt.

After that he went to tell to pack up because it was nearly home time already. His class coming back from their class to get ready to go home. The cups that had the liquid were emptied in the bin and made sure there was nothing on the table. It was fun doing Science with Mr Barks but tomorrow It would be cool if we do something a bit dangerous.

When I woke up I felt really tired after my mum went to force me out of bed so she made sure I’m on time for school. It was only 7:30 though so I had heaps of time but I knew that I would of gone back to sleep if she didn't wake me up.  First I went to the toilet, then the bathroom had a shower, brush my teeth, comb my hair, clean my hair, put on my School clothes, make my lunch and finally have breakfast.

I then looked at the time on my computer and it was 8:? something I forgot. So that meant it was time to go to school, it takes about 10 minutes to get there. On my way I saw some other pt England children walking and some in cars been driven to school. That doesn't happen to me any more because my mum doesn't want to drop me off. But I still know that I called make it by walking.

Finally I was at school and ready to learn some more new things and getting some work done,with a good morning. I see friends playing and getting ready to learn in there classes. As I walked to my class I heard a the bell rang so I was right on time. My class door also oppend so we could go straight in and ready for the Karakia that we do some times.

About my self

My name is Jonson and I like to play games and ride on my bike. I live in GI and I also like to do cool stuff too. Things that are cool and favorite for me are to play outside and watch movies. I’ve got two brothers one goes to work and the other one has a project he works on. One of them also goes to a freerunning place with his friends.
